The River Corridor Improvement Subdistrict of The Miami Conservancy District LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT Sealed proposals will be received at the office of The River Corridor Improvement Subdistrict of The Miami Conservancy District (MCD), 38 East Monument Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45402-1265, until 2:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday, February 4, 2009, for 08-001C-200.204, Middletown Hand-Carried Boat Ramp project in Butler County, Middletown, Ohio. This project is financed with an ODNR Division of Watercraft grant. State funds are being used to assist construction and relevant state requirements will apply. Contractors must comply with the Governor's Executive Order of January 27, 1972 Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. Bids must be submitted on MCD Proposal Forms, and must be accompanied by a bid guaranty. At the option of the bidder, the bid guaranty may be a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government Bond (at par value) or a bid bond. All certified checks, bank drafts or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds shall be in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. A bid bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid. The bid bond shall be secured by a guaranty or a surety company licensed as surety by the Ohio Department of Insurance. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty, drawn to the Treasurer of The River Corridor Improvement Subdistrict of The Miami Conservancy District, as a guarantee that the bidder, after such acceptance, will furnish an approved surety bond for the faithful performance of the Contract. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive any technical defects, as the interests of MCD may require.
