What is Data Source?

MCD & the Ohio Emergency Management Agency (OEMA) have a partnership that allows for redundancy of the system information. In case one system should fail, the other could provide the information. The data is not quality controlled and may contain missing or erroneous values. The Primary Data Source indicates data that is received by MCD directly then filtered and decoded. The Secondary Data Source uses the same gages; however the data is received, filtered and decoded by OEMA. In the event we have equipment failure, you may use this secondary data source.
Note that the data and date/time may be different from what MCD has on record. This variance is only due to the time the data is received, which is determined by the receiving location. These times should be within a minute or so of each other.
