MCD Governance

MCD is a political subdivision of the state of Ohio. A body of nine Common Pleas Court judges regularly reviews and approves the actions of The Miami Conservancy District. This Conservancy Court also appoints three members to a Board of Directors who more closely and regularly oversee the activities of the District.

All MCD meetings are open to the public, and the organization abides by the state of Ohio’s sunshine and public record laws.

MCD is accountable to the citizens of the Miami Valley on many levels — at public meetings, in public hearings, through education and outreach programs, as well as through newsletters, special publications and an informative website.
