Many conservation-minded organizations have joined forces to become the Great Miami River Watershed Network.

The Watershed Network meets quarterly to discuss items of mutual concern, share ideas and effectively leverage resources. Participants of the Network include, but are not limited to, watershed coordinators, soil and water conservation professionals, Ohio State University Extension personnel, environmental planners, as well as representatives from local governments, businesses, state agencies and universities.

In 2003, the Miami Conservancy District and the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission agreed to combine the Great Miami River Watershed Network with the four Basin Councils of the Great Miami River Watershed. In addition to bringing increased coordination, this merger is designed to give participants a more regional view of watershed-related issues.

Anyone is welcome to become a part of this group. For more information about the Watershed Network, please contact Angela Manuszak, (937) 223-1278 ext. 3263.
