The purpose of the Liaison Committee is to:

• Foster the exchange of information and ideas between the community and MCD staff.
• Help prioritize projects.
• And otherwise ensure that the Aquifer Preservation Subdistrict addresses local and regional needs across the spectrum of special interests and geographic areas throughout the basin.

Core representatives of this committee come from federal, state and local government; business and industry; agriculture; regional planning agencies; public water systems; and regional organizations concerned with groundwater protection.
